Choosing childcare is built on trust. Here's a clear summary of the qualifications and checks behind Blackfen Little Learners — and we're always happy to show certificates in person.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    Trained and experienced primary school teacher, with classroom experience across early years and KS1.

  • Extensive Early Years experience

    Several years of focused Early Years practice — the foundation for everything we do at Blackfen Little Learners.

  • Ofsted registration

    Registration with Ofsted on the Early Years Register is in progress. URN will be displayed here once issued.

  • Paediatric First Aid

    Full 12-hour paediatric first aid certification, refreshed in line with EYFS requirements.

  • Enhanced DBS

    Enhanced DBS check on the update service, alongside checks for any adults living in the home.

  • Public liability insurance

    Fully insured through a recognised childminding insurance provider.

  • Safeguarding & EYFS training

    Up-to-date safeguarding, food hygiene, and Early Years Foundation Stage training.

Ofsted registration in progress

We're currently in the pre-registration stage with Ofsted. Opening is planned for September, subject to registration being confirmed. Once issued, the registration number will appear here along with a link to the published Ofsted page.
